theF-WORD  supports Guerrilla Acts of Kindness

[June 08]  Sick of being media blitzed by distorted, unhealthy and homogenous images of beauty? If so, you are not alone, and you don’t have to stand for it. You can stage your own media blitz. Beginning in the fall 2008 quarter, theF-word will be distributing free ‘guerilla stickers’, as shown below. Use these stickers as your 'ammo' against media images and messages that create a hostile environment for all us in its emphasis on, and promotion of a narrow definition of beauty and sexuality. Feel free to put them on magazine ads, posters or newspaper articles that are offensive and disingenuous.

theF-WORD launches the "I AM A FEMINIST" campaign

[March 08] Around campus, you may notice flyers that says in bold "I am a Feminist!".  The F-word is making known the different faces of feminism around campus. These flyers feature professors and students who identify with the feminist movement for varying and interrelated reasons. The goal of this project is to challenge assumptions and debunk stereotypes about feminists, and to cultivate awareness and discussion of the diversity of the feminist movement.
